Sunshine on a rainy day

It always amazes me how you can begin the day with rain and end it with sunshine. Today was such a day as I sat on the bus after work gazing out at the gorgeous sun highlighting how pretty the commute is with the water and the mountains co-existing. This got me wishing for summer to arrive as soon as possible, but this is Vancouver after all so I won't be holding my breath. Instead I will devote my energy thinking of summer-related items that will make me feel happy and warm when the weather fails to do so. If you haven't checked out Etsy yet then you really should. I recently got my best friend's 'save the date' card (check out her blog here) and it was courtesy of Etsy. I am quite the newbie to Etsy; I think my best friend may have been the person to introduce me. It is pretty much a giant marketplace for people to buy and sell products, whether it is personally made or as a supplier. I also get regular emails from the website, which are inspirational in themselves. Whilst, I am yet to make my first purchase, it is a very cute website and one you could lose yourself in for hours. Anyway for some Etsy summer-esque inspiration see below:

Before I sign off, I have to tell you about my current non-Etsy object of desire and, even better, it is on sale. I have mentioned Kate Spade previously here, spotlighting a very cute clutch. Now the baker in me is in love with this gorgeous and sizable tote:
