Oatmeal white chocolate caramel cookies

Baking is usually a happy time for me, but this weekend I ended up with a delicious treat and the discovery that my camera is more than likely broken. I don't want to focus on the negative, but it is part of the reason I wasn't able to take the photos I wanted to of my latest baking project. However, my lovely housemate did lend me her camera to take a few snaps toward the end of the process. I was still quite enamoured with the caramel sauce I used last week in my cupcakes as mentioned here. This is why I chose to bake some cookies that included this ingredient. I look at all the blogs on my list of favourites at least once a week and they fill me with not only inspiration, but also awe at the amazing talents on display. I mention this because the recipe I used on Sunday was from one of them and can be found here. The only changes I made to the recipe were that I used normal salt and I substituted the butterscotch chips for white chocolate chips. I used white chocolate chips mainly because that is what I had on hand, but also I didn't want to overpower the deliciousness of the other ingredients especially the caramel sauce. The cookies turned out well and I am pretty sure I have eaten one of the three dozen that the recipe made...oops!
